Keating Five for Fighting

The Obama campaign has been reluctant to bring up McCain's role in the Keating Five scandal -- until now. They have a terrific short film up at this site which explains the complex scandal in simple terms that the media might even be able to understand.

Emmy, Oscar or Peabody for that thing?

That video is the equivalent of smashing a metal chair over the back of a wrestler that's already lost the match.

What's that? This is America where the only thing more stupid than the electorate is the media? This election should be at the point where McCain is to embarrassed to show up at the debate tonight, but somehow this thing goes down to the wire.

Put a bullet in me now, please.

Seriously...that debate is must-see tv. I have to know whether McCain will explode "Scanners"-style or emerge from the backdrop curtain like Rambo and run a knife through Obama...

The guy is ready to go postal over the slightest thing, and now we have this video ripping his carfully crafted myth apart?

Obama didn't just question what remains of McCain's integrity, he held the tiny thing up between his fingers for all to see then took a shit on it.

Sadly, because their negative smear tactic has worked in the past against Kerry, they are willing to give it a shot with Obama and see if they can knock enough holes to win. As John Cole says, rather than real leadership and national consensus, they are happy with "50+1."
