Ok - this is what grinds my beans - My parents got John lennon as their generation's fallen icon. He protested against war, wrote "Imagine", fought the U.S. govt (and won!!!), etc...
I got stuck with Cobain. A junkie who killed himself because "wah" - he got famous.
