Peering past a large grain of salt, I see the Fox poll shows Bush sinking to 72 percent among Republicans. Could this just be the first part of a downward trend — in Republican support?Whew. The logical next thing is for the right-wing noise machine to launch an attack. Can you imagine Sean Hannity ripping into Republicans who are wandering off the reservation with one of his mean-mouthed diatribes? Limbaugh taking verbal dumps on them? Dick Cheney telling them to F-off?Double whew!
How about the finding that more people think Dems have good ideas for governance than Repugs? What's going on? I thought I was in the party of no ideas.
First, I dislike surveys with such small samples. But they're OK when I like the results!I haven't liked the GOP much since they started bullying everyone around, and then passed a whole bunch of legislation for rich people, and then hugely increased spending and the deficit. Oh, and then there's Iraq. The federal gov't needs some fiscal restraint, a [novel?] concept that has actually been shown to attract support. Eliminating deficit spending worked wonders in the VA guvner election.
"I haven't liked the GOP much since they . . . passed a whole bunch of legislation for rich people . . ."I'm pretty sure that would take you back to the beginning of the party.
