Anyway, I have to get it out before it overtakes my brain's usual repository of useless knowledge and football stats. Here it is:
You can't spell HUBRIS without BUSH.What do you think. Is it too literate? Too likely to invoke an "egghead loves his booky-wooks" comment? Does the word "Bush" in capital letters make you giggle like a schoolboy?

I think it's great! Pretty much everyone who made it through secondary school will be familiar with it, thanks to Oedipus and his momma-sexin' ways.
Good point. And given the weird relationship Dubya has with his parents -- loving his harpy of a mother and challenging his dad to fight him "mano-a-mano," the Oedipus thing fits. Plus, they both see the world about as clearly.
By the way, does anyone get the reference in this title? Have I gone to Dennis Miller levels of obscurity?
I guess I'm alone on this one. It's a quote from Michael Keaton in the criminally underappreciated "Night Shift"
Apparently, I screwed it up too:
Bill: Wait a minute! Why don't they just mix the mayonnaise with the tuna in the can... HOLD THE PHONE! Why don't they just FEED the tuna fish mayonnaise! [speaks into tape recorder] Call Starkist!
Wait. NOW you're telling me I shouldn't feed mayo to my fish?
The first time I saw Night Shift, the only other thing I had seen Henry Winkler in was "Happy Days".
Seeing the Fonz sans self-confidence...that's the day I stopped believing in anything!
Are we positive that is word for word the quote from the movie? i am writing a paper and need to know for sure, would love to avoid renting it again.
