The Fall Guy

As Josh Marshall points out over at TPM, it's looking more and more like the White House is preparing to make Dick Cheney's Chief of Staff I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby the fall guy in the Plame scandal.

As seen in this convenient LA Times article, people close to the administration have been leaking materials to make it clear that Libby was really the one with the Fatal Attraction obsession with Joe Wilson and that if anyone's to blame for boiling his bunny outing his CIA operative wife, then it's him. Everyone else -- like say, poor innocent Karl Rove or Cheney or even Bush himself -- why they were just caught up in the wake of that powermad Libby. I mean, how could they resist the might of a grown man named Scooter?

Reminds me of Nixon trying to pin it all on Dean, and then Ehrlichman and Haldeman. How did that turn out again?

On a side note, when I went searching for a ""Fall Guy" photo for this post, one of the other photos that came up on a Google search was none other than Scooter Libby himself.

Even Google's in on it!

Since you're talking about the Plame thing, you might be interested in the legalities of it. Another fellow blogger who's a lawyer has been explaining "Treasongate"

If you don't know about 18 USC 793 & 4 this may be worth a peeksie :)

Could you have added "shirt" to your Fall Guy Google search?

Man, poor libby. Instead of Heather Locklear, he gets Judy Miller. Talk about the legend of the dog-faced woman, damn!

Disturbing image, I know. But there were very few shirtless images of the Fall Guy. I think that was part of how he fought crime.

The "Fall Guy" Heather was Thomas, not Locklear.

Locklear was paying her dues over at TJ Hooker.

It's funny, I was just thinking about the two Heathers the other night. Heather Locklear has a new ad out for some hair product, and I was thinking how did she move on from teen pin-up/ bad TV show supporting blonde to a relatively respectable career. A bonafide second act to her career with TV roles and even movies...

Heather Thomas on the other hand went from "Fall Guy" to pink bikini poster, to "Zapped!", to three packs a day, to off the face of the earth...

I think we can all figure out which Heather I chose at 14...

How many of those Pink Heather posters were sold? I know I had one, gently used.

Markie Post was on that show too. Mmmmm.

There is nothing in that photo I can look at without feeling somewhat uncomfortable. Even the hat is wrong.

Perhaps if we pretend they snapped this shot at the same shoot as the Heather thomas hot tub poster?

Or is it all just too wrong? What kind of "man" wears his cowboy hat perched delicately on top of his coif?
