Golden Shower

The Golden Winger contests over at The Poorman are always great, but for some reason today's especially tickled me. Particularly this bit about some chickenhawk likening supporting the war to supporting the Yankees:
RHODES: Listen, you should be in Iraq. You’re 22. When I was 22, I was in the military. Why aren’t you there?
(snip)
FERGUSON: And just because I support something doesn’t mean I have to always go fight . . . I support the Yankees doesn’t mean I wear their uniform.
Sorry, Steinbrenner, put down the phone. Don't think that just because he likes the Yanks he's going to join up with the team. Find someone else to fill in for Matsui, cuz Ferguson is way better than that crap job.

This may be the best Golden Winger contest in a long, long time.

That John Gibson quote is unfuckingbelievable. With the comment about low white birth rates and the ominous rise of "Eurabia," it perfectly resembles a 1920s immigration rant -- except for the absence of a warning about "the wily Chinee."

The really funny part here is that I'm not sure he supports the Yankees either. A real fan would know that the hardcore supporters wear the uniforms all the freaking time.

Really? Man, those Yanks fans are something. In the interest of balance, let me also say that Red Sox fans are probably also crazy.

Sincerely,

your favorite "gabacho"

(I hope that word isn't too offensive - I've never seen it before)

Well, hats and jerseys. They go casual Friday with the pants.

Screw you, dirty hippie...

(Nothing like proving your point for you, huh?)

Pooh, you can call me anything you want, but don't you dare go after Ferguson! He's a badass! And you won't even see him coming, because he won't be wearing a Yankees uniform.
