President Gore

Last night's episode of SNL opened with a pretty funny address by President Al Gore. If you didn't see it, take a look at the video clips over at Crooks & Liars.

Between the funny SNL appearance and the serious release of Gore's amazing-looking documentary An Inconvenient Truth, it's looking more and more like we might see a Gore comeback in 2008.

Bring. It. On.

Yes, much of this was a joke, but it was fairly pointed. If Gore can maintain his newfound personality and shoots any of his advisors from 2000 as soon as they come near him, he might just be our best candidate.

I'm serious. Anybody from the 2000 campaign gets one bewteen the eyes...

Agreed. Those people were the kiss of death.

I voted for Al Gore in 2000 because my spidey sense told me at the time that Dubya was a complete monkey. But I never thought much of Al Gore until I heard him speak a few months ago in public. He's remarkably captivating. And even a little funny. Maybe he was so dull during the election because it was, well, an election and he was trying to please everyone all the time, but if he ran again, I'd be so much more confident about voting for him.

But the big question is "would you vote for Gore in 2008 against McCain?".

And,yes - Gore would still have my vote in two years as he did six years ago.
