Just saying that the ambassador’s wife worked for the CIA is not an outing and doesn’t demonstrate that Rove was aware that she might be a secret agent.
The agency has thousands of employees, with only a small percentage of them having a covert status. The question still remains whether Plame was covert at the time Rove spoke with Cooper. If anyone is responsible for Plame’s outing, it is Wilson himself. Not content to express his opinion within the diplomatic, military or intelligence communities after his inconclusive report was dismissed, he went public.
"I'd be lying if I said my men weren't committing crimes."
"Well said."

Remember when the right wing was calling for Clinton's crucifixion because he got a haircut at LAX? Or fired political appointees in the travel office?
I don't care if Rove knew she was covert or not. Someone in that position of power shouldn't point to people in the CIA without checking. His actions were either intentionally criminal or criminally incompetent. Either way, he should be out of the White House, if not into the Big House.
She was the wife of an ambassador, how could she NOT be "under cover?"
Ignorance isn't an option here.
Gee, I'm so torn here. On the one hand we have a 2-year-long investigation by the Justice Department of a case that had been referred to them by the CIA. On the other hand, Jeff Gannon is an agressive top.
I guess it's just another he said - she said kinda thing.
