Today's Sign of the Apocalypse

Today, I would like to recommend this fine column by George Will.

Tomorrow, a plague of locusts!

I have to admit that I usually read ol' Will's stuff, just because nobody else can squeeze in a word like "farrago."

Last couple weeks he's really been hating America. Usually he only hates it as a precursor to attacking America's true enemies, the working class.

Someone pass me my chinchilla wrap -- it's starting to get nippy over here in the Sodomites' & Adulterers' level...

Thanks, George, for confirming what the "paranoid blogosphere" has actually been saying for quite some time now. Awesome.

As much as I dislilke Will, I give him credit for occasionally getting off a good one, which he certainly did with this column.

I cheered Kerry's statements about the need for a sound law-enforcement approach back when he was making them. Unfortunately, he seemed to mostly let that go by the wayside after the right-wing noise machine dumped snark all over him for having the nerve to make such (as they would have it) asinine statements.

The funny thing about it, though, is that I could swear Will was among those putting Kerry down back then for not getting it about the nature of terrorist threats.
