Boot Scooter Boogie

I don't have time to post on this just yet, but it's looking like the Scooter Libby trial is going to have serious ramifications for both Dick Cheney and Karl Rove.

Would it be irresponsible to speculate? No, no. It would be irresponsible not to.

Maybe I'm not doing something right, but the link took me to a typically overdrawn, mellerdrama-composed-with-trembling-lip piece by Peggy Noonan. In it she imparts heavy religious overtones to the saga of Elian Gonzalez.

The completely unsurprising capper was this:

"And some of us, in our sadness, wonder what Ronald Reagan, our last great president, would have done."

The woman's locked into a time warp where everything is overshadowed, if not overseen, by a grinning Gipper.Can't/won't let go of those salad days. Rod Serling would understand.

As for me, Noonan's insufferable hyperemotionalism always brings on severe intestinal griping.

Yeah, wrong Nooners link. Sorry.

I believe I'm too apathetic to figure out what went wrong.
