Anyone else remember a few years ago when one of the world's major concerns was the preservation of the priceless knowledge contained within the historic sites of Iraq? Wonder how that's going.
Sorry, Thrillhous, but it was too good to pass up. If it hadn't been such a busy day yesterday, I was going to post on the snafu, if only to use the title "Istanbul is Not Constantinople, er, Baghdad."

What are you talking about? In this photo, Baghdad looks so peaceful and calm!
Dangit, Otto, you stole my bit!
I think the order of preserving stuff in Iraq goes like this:
1) Oil infrastructure
2) Green Zone
3) Airport
4) Road between Green Zone and airport
5) Museum artifacts
6) People
